I've been designing and implementing websites since 1997, starting with my first content-rich site Cyberwall, which dug deeply into one of my favorite hobbies, mineral collecting. Soon after, I volunteered to create the promotional website for the first-ever Carnegie Gem & Mineral Show and was hired to put together a number of websites, including Dr. Fred's Place, the home of my nonfiction writing mentor.

As the web evolves and techniques change, I keep alert to the trends and tools. Although I left my background as a programmer behind many years ago, I'm still comfortable with using the newest tools to make an elegant online presentation.
