My parents started bringing me to Florida on vacation when I was a toddler. When I was in high school, we moved to Ocala. While I left a decade later, I returned in 1999, soon after I started writing for a living, and saw the state through new eyes. I've been on a mission to share the beauty of Florida's natural places ever since, in hopes that more people will fall in love with our outdoors and help preserve it for future generations.
